after Christmas, i will start making stuff again and will hopefully have some new things to show you.
For now I'll just leave you with a card i made last month with the cardmaking kit Sarahscards sent me to work with.
I just want to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year and thank you all for your kind comments over the past year.

Santa Eeyore
I thought Eeyore looked really cute wearing a Santa hat, i'm sending this card to two of the children we used to foster, and were adopted almost two years ago.

A card for the 'really olds'.
This is another version of the card i made for my parents, this time it's for my Grandparents. I found this design was really quick to make, so went with the same design again for my 'really olds'. I'm glad they don't read my blog, i'm not sure they'd appreciate that title, he, he.

Card for our Son
I really didn't know where to start making our Son a Christmas card this year. He's almost thirteen, so cute is a no no and i did a snowflake one last year, so that was out too. Anyway this is what i came up with in the end.

Here's the Christmas card i've made for my parents. I designed it using the design studio and Alphalicious, AE and JOTS carts.

Quickie cards
I need 8 cards by tomorrow to give to the ladies at my crop, and also some non-lumpy cards to put in the mail, so i decided to pull out my Inkadinkado Christmas silhouette stamps and one of the Cuttlebug border embossing folders and came up with these two designs. Very simple, but very quick to make, which i good, as i still have a few more to make.

Bling, bling!
This is another card i made with the fab 'Bling and the City' Craftytemplates goodies kit. One of the templates this month was this cute handbag. I stuck lots of the gems in the kit to the biggie silver brad (also in the kit), for a bit of extra bling, a girl can never have too much bling, right?

Simple snowman
Here's just a very simple card i made for the weekly challenge over on the Hallmarkscrapbook MB. The challenge was to use any snowman cut from any cart that has one, i chose to use the one from Doodlecharms, as i think he's really cute. I also used the snow background and the scalloped square from Zooballoo, and the birds (robins) are from Wild card.

Weekend off & more bling
I've had the weekend off crafting, not through choice, but i had a wisdom tooth removed under sedation on Saturday morning, (can't even remember leaving the clinic and travelling home), so i've not been feeling very creative, i actually lost most of Saturday, as i slept through most of it. Hopefully i'll feel up to crafting again tomorrow, as i have so much to do this week.
Anyway, here's another card i made with the Craftytemplates 'Bling & the city' goodies kit and one of this months fabulous fashion templates. I wish you could you see the pearly sheen on the patterned paper, it is gorgeous .

Another Christmas card
I took a break from design team stuff yesterday, and rustled up a simple card. I used JOTS and the design studio and came up with this little number.

A crafty day.
I do love crafting days, especially when the weather outside is dreadful, as it is today. It's wet, and very windy, with a few wintry showers thrown in too. So i'm staying in the warm and doing a bit of design team work for Sarahscards. I didn't tell you, did i?, i had an invite to join Sarahscards full time design team, working with her fab card making kits, (i have only been guest designer for them in the past) and of course i said yes.
Here's the card i gave a peek of earlier, using the scrummy Craftytemplates 'Bling and the city' goodies kit and templates Leo sent me. There's still a sale going on too, so pop over a bag yourself a bargain, or two.

Snowman in pink!
Here's my latest card, made for the weekly challenge over on Hallmark MB, again made using the design studio. The challenge was to use any snowflake cut. My snowman is showing his feminine side and looking dashing in pink, i think he can carry it off.

Noel
I'm really organised as far as i've already bought all my Christmas gifts for all my family, but i haven't made enough Christmas cards yet, yikes!, so i've just sat and made this one. The base was done using the design studio, with George and Storybook carts, i then just added the holly from JOTS, a piece of ribbon and a few gems, job done!

I'm still here
No i haven't fell off the face of the earth, or been buried alive in a stash mountain, but i have been busy.
I've been making an 8x8 baby boy album to give to our fostering support worker, who is expecting her first baby in February. The pages are very simple, they just need her to add her favorite photographs of baby, but it has still taken me four days to do 20 pages. It was a bit of a rush job, so i'm not 100% happy with it, but she's not a crafter, so i'm sure she'll like it.

Hallmarkscrapbook weekly challenge.
This week Sharon set the challenge over on Hallmarkscrapbook MB to use either the Holly or the Poinsettia cut from JOTS. You don't have to make a card for the challenge, it can be a layout, altered item, or anything you want. I chose to use the holly cut, and welded lots of them onto a circle using design studio. As i haven't used my Mickey and Friends cart for ages, i decided to make a Minnie Christmas card.

Hugs & Kisses
This is the Christmas card i've made for my Hubby. I love that cute 'Tweety' on the Wild Card cart. The scalloped circle is from Mini Monos, the circle is from George, the Santa hat is from PDDU, and all the other cuts, including 'Hugs & Kisses' are from Wild Card.

Craftytemplates advent project
A few weeks ago Leo at Craftytemplates sent me this kit filled with some brand new Fancy Pants goodies from the 'Happy Holidays' range.
She also sent templates to make an advent project. This is what i made, shame my Son thought it was too girlie for him, so i filled it with 'grown ups' chocolates, and now it's for me (result!).

It rocks!
Yes, this rocking horse really does rock!
I made this card for the weekly challenge over on the Hallmarkscrapbook MB, Carole set this weeks challenge and we had to use the rocking horse from JOTS cart. I was quite stumped as what to do with it at first, but then i had a flash of inspiration, and decided to cut the circle card from Wild Card cart, mount the rocking horse on the bottom so he really ROCKS!

Mug cut file
Ok, i've had a few requests for the cut file of my mug, so here it is. It would be really nice if you use the cut file, and you came back and linked your creation to this post, i'd love to see what you do.
There are two versions included in this cut file, one using just George, the other using George and Street Sign. Enjoy!
Here's the cut file
If you are down loading this cut file from outside the UK, you need to go to your ‘Control Panel’, then ‘Clock, Language and Region’ then ‘Regional and Language Options’, then ‘Change the date, time or number format’, change it to English (United Kingdom), apply. Download and open the cut file in CDS, then go back and change your setting to English (United States)or (your country), go back to CDS and save it. This should work, I hope you understand my instructions.

DCM & Kathy's sketch
This weeks dare over on DCM was to to create a card with some sparkle and bling, well i love a bit of bling, so it would have been rude not to play along.
Kathy, one of the Dare design team, has a fabulous sketch she's designed on her blog, which i was also was dying to use, so i combined the two and this what i came up with. The little birdie is from the Wild Card cart and cut from DCVW glitter cardstock, the off centre circle frame and tree are also from the same cart.
Kathy has just started a new blog, where she will share all her great sketches, you must check it out HERE.

Hallmarkscrapbook weekly challenge and other news.
It's my turn to set the weekly challenge over on the Hallmarkscrapbook message board. My challenge is to use the Santa hat cut from either PDDU, JOTS or Pooh & Friends carts. I used the one from PDDU and popped it on the cute monster from my new Wild Card cart, i love this little chap, i think he looks really cute as Santa. There are lots of challenges posted, so please come and join in the fun.
Oh and other news, i won the circle ornament contest over on BBTB, for my Christmas ornament card! I was so shocked to have been chosen as the winner, but very happy.
Regina has already set another contest, so pop over to BBTB and check it out.

No Cricut Christmas card!
I received these gorgeous Inkadinkado Christmas Silhouette stamps in the mail yesterday, and i couldn't wait to try them out, so last night i sat i made this card. It's been so long since i've made anything without my Cricut, it was strange but i quite enjoyed it.

Ornament card
Here is my second entry for the current BBTB contest. The circle is cut from George in 5" and 4 3/4", other cuts i used are from Storybook, Home Accents and JOTS.
Around the World Sketch!
I was over the moon when the oh so talented Kathy asked if i would do a little something for her DCM Midweek Little Extra challenge. Kathy sent a few cardmakers a copy of this fab sketch.
I liked the layout of the sketch so much, i more or less stuck to it exactly, i just turned it around. So here's the card i made.
You really must check out what the others Kathy invited to help her out have produced, they are all so different and all amazing! If you play along with this challenge, there is also going to be a prize draw, with a gorgeous prize up for grabs.

BBTB contest
Slightly better photo.
Here is my entry for the latest BBTB contest, this was the hardest thing to photograph, as not only is it made from acetate, but it also has glitter and gems on it. It looks much nicer IRL. If anyone has any tips on photographing acetate, glitter and gems, id be very grateful.
The circle and snowflakes are cut from AE, Merry Christmas & the ornament top are from JOTS.
