Busy, busy, busy.

I have been busy beavering away in my craftroom and i've managed to make 11 cards this week, but i'm unable to share most of them just yet, but i can show you these two very quick and simple ones i've made today.

Passion for Promarkers week 23

For this weeks PfP challenge you can use any colours, but Helen would like to see animals somewhere on your creations.
I have used this cute little mouse, Milly singing carols from Digistampboutique, and Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses papers.
The 'fa la la la la la la la la' is part of  the ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS...PRINTABLE STAMP SET from The Cutting Cafe'.

Sarahscards Oct kit

Sarah of Sarahscards decided a couple of months ago to discontinue the Card making kits and just concerntrate on her fabulous Scrapbooking kits (along with all the other fabulous stash she stocks), so now lucky me gets a huge kit to make cards with!
The October kit is now beginning to find it's way to the subscribers homes (postal strikes permitting), so i can now share a few of the cards i made with the kit, which featured the gorgeous Pink Paislee - Amber Road, i have to admit it took me a while to start cutting into it, as the papers were so lush, but once i started i couldn't stop.

Christmas treat bags

For the toppers on cute little Christmas treat bags i have used the Christmas All Around set from The Cutting Cafe'.
I used flock on the ducks body and my favorite thing at the mo, Polar White Flower Soft for the fur on his hat, which also features on the mittens. Again i have used my circle Nellies Multi Frame dies to cut the mats.
These are so quick to make, just print out the toppers, colour-in/decorate, and attach to candy filled bags!!!

You Rock!!!!

Happy weekend everyone!!! Remember if you're in the UK the clocks go back an hour tonight so you can have an extra hour in bed tomorrow, unless you have have small people in your house who don't seem to understand that Sunday mornings means a lay in.
Anyway here's a card i made last night using You Rock from Squiggle Stamps, i love this little guy, and think by colouring him in shades of grey this card could easily be given to an adult rocker.

Passion for Promarkers week 22

This weeks PfP challenge colours are Poppy and Forest Green, this colour combo just screamed Christmas to me. So i've made an easel Christmas card.
The image is  Santa with Tree by Sugar Nellie and the sentiment is part of the ALL ABOUT CHRISTMAS....PRINTABLE STAMP SET from The Cutting Cafe'. The holly is a Sizzlet die i've had for years and the berries are dewdrops. The fur on Santa's outfit is Polar White Flower Soft.
and here's the colours i used.....

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

Whilst blog hopping yesterday i came across the Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge blog.
This is the current sketch.

The image i've used on my card is one of the Fenella and Friends stamps,  Fairy Gift from Squiggle Stamps. You can't really see on the photo, but her wings are glittered.
I have used another of my new Nellie's multi frame dies, this time it's the circular one.

Snow pals (my second post today)

Here's one more Ben card to show you this week. I love this cute stamp, and really enjoyed colouring it. I added some Twinklets to the snowflakes, and a little Polar White Flowersoft for a snowy touch, (neither of which show up on the photo), oh and i used a bit of fun flock on his bobble too.
You can grab Ben and his Snow Pal here.

I followed this sketch from the new Pixie Cottage challenge blog, which i found out about via Tara, who is one of my teamies on the Squiggles Stamps DT.

The sentiment is from the new printable stamp set from The Cutting Cafe', it's called CHRISTMAS CIRCLES SET 2 and features 16 assorted word circles.

Hey Dude!

Ben is one talented little guy, not only can he play the guitar, he also skateboards! Here he is looking cool with his board.

Thursday, 15 October 2009

Meet Ben

This little chap really rocks! and is available to purchase right now from Squiggle Stamps here. The scalloped mat is cut using one of my new Nellie's multi frame dies.

Passion for Promarkers week 21

For this weeks PfP challenge you can use any colours but you must also follow the sketch provided by Gina.

To be honest the jury is out on this one, i don't think the paper roses i made really work, they are far too big, i think maybe it's because the image is quite petite, but they're all stuck on now so that's it. The papers i used are all from Basic Grey Indian Summer 6x6 pad.
and as per usual, here's the colours i used ...........

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Hope all you cardmakers from all over the world are enjoying your day, and getting creative.

Over on UKScrappers there are a few challenges that have been set by some of the lovely sponsors, who have also donated some prizes. I'm sorry i'm a bit late posting about this, but if you're quick you'll still have time to enter, as you have until midnight GMT on Sunday 4th to upload your creations.

Here's what i've made for the challenges.

For this one the challenge was to use polka dots, glitter and something recycled. The embossed gold mat and sentiment (stamped on with black Stazon), were a tube of tomato puree in a former life.

The image on this one is from Mo's digital Pencil and is coloured in using my Promarkers. The word frame is from The Cutting Cafe Halloween Card Borders.

The FOR MY HUSBAND ON HIS BIRTHDAY circle printable stamp is from The Cutting Cafe'.

And finally i made this little haunted house using the fab template that Tina of FMFY supplied, but i cut the house template (minus the fancy bits) by hand, then cut the embellishments out on my Cricut.

I added a battery tea-light, and this is how it looks when lit-up.

Squiggles candy!!!!

Candy now closed, click here see who the winner is. How would you like to win some candy? Tracy of Squiggle Stamps has generously sent all the DT members some mini candy to give away. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning these stamps, is leave me a comment on the this post, and it would nice if you spread the word too but not essential. If you don't have a blog, please leave your name on your post, so i know who you are if you win. Entry will close at midnight GMT on Saturday 3rd October and i will draw the winner on Sunday 4th October using Random.org. I will post worldwide, so this is open to anyone. Good luck!!!

Another Cutting Cafe' giveaway!!!!

Entry for this draw is now closed.
Regina of The Cutting Cafe' is so generous, i just love making stuff for her using her fabulous files and templates. She has told all her DT members to giveaway one of the newly released files/templates they use to one lucky blogger.

If you'd like to get your hands on this Tiny Box with Sentiments Template for free, just leave me a comment on this post before midnight GMT on Friday 9th October and i will draw one lucky winner using Random.org on Saturday 10th October, good luck.

Here's a couple of cute little boxes i've made, with the set.

Get well soon........

My dear friend Gwyneth was taken into hospital unexpectedly a few days ago, so i quickly made her this card. I hope she's soon well and back home again.

More for Sarahcards

Hope you all had a lovely weekend wherever you were and whatever you were doing. I was resting up, as i hurt my back last week, (i've been cleaning windows, i think housework should come with a health warning!) it's much better today but i still keep getting little niggly pains.

Anyway i've not managed any crafting this weekend, but i do have a couple of my DT samples for Sarahscards to share with you. If you still want to buy this kit as a single purchase, be quick as they are now down to single figures.

Friday, 25 September 2009

Seize the Cake!

Happy Friday everyone, i hope you all have a great weekend!

I have another Squiggle Stamps card to share with you today, the image on this card is one of the Fenella and Friends stamps, this one is called Cupcake girl, just look at the size of that cupcake!!

Sarahscards

Here's just a couple of the cards i made with the gorgeous September scrap kit from Sarahscards, which features the yummy Cosmo Cricket Early Bird range. There are still a few of the kits available as a single purchase, so if you're looking for a great kit for either scrapbooking or cardmaking, why not give it a try?

Passion for Promarkers week 18

This weeks PfP challenge colours are Emerald and Marine, the added twist is that you have to make 'anything but a card', so i made this little pillow box, which i cut on my Cricut from the Wedding solutions cart. The PfP design team have produced some stunning work as usual.

The image is Daisy with Gift from Squiggle Stamps.

If you want to make a pillow box but don't own the Wedding cart, there is a Pillow box set over in The Cutting Cafe' you could use.

Here's the colours i used............. (i have one little complaint about the new Promarker colours....... and that's that the colour name is in a different place, so makes it not so easy to photograph this way).

Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Sweet wishes

Here as promised, is another card using Squiggles Stamps. For this one i first stamped Daisy Sitting Pretty, then masked her off and stamped the new Cupcake stamp over the top, i must admit it took me three attempts to line it up correctly but got there in the end, i think next time i'll just cut her out with scissors and pop her on top.

Don't forget, if you haven't already entered the candy prize draw on the blog yet, you still have until 12 noon GMT Friday.

Meet Oscar

Oscar is Daisy's buddy or maybe even her Brother, anyway he is one of the fabulous newly released stamps over at Squiggle Stamps and can be found playing with his toy plane here.
I have been playing with some other of the new Squiggle Stamps all morning, so watch this space there's more to show you later this week.

Choices

I've had a request from one of my Niece's work colleagues for a card. Her Mum is turning 60 this week and she couldn't find a card she liked in the shops. I made two (as i didn't really like the first one), so she can choose the one she likes (if any). The only info i got was that the 60 was not to be too big, it had to include a bit a bling, and be quite modern. I will find out tomorrow if any of these are suitable. The blue border/frame on this ^ one is cut on the Cricut from Lyrical Letters cart.

Friday, 18 September 2009

Ahoy Matey!

Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' has designed a great set for all your little Pirate fans. The AHOY MATEY PRINTABLE STAMP SET contains 21 images, along with a birthday invitation. I have used the happy birthday Matey sentiment and the treasure map on this card.
The Pirate dragon is of course one of Dustin Pikes fabulous printable stamps.

Passion for Promarkers week 17

This week the PfP challenge is that you can use any colours but must include polka dots.

Here's my card and as usual here's all the colours i used, (click on the photo for a better view).

Snowflake Daisy

Tracy from Squiggle Stamps sent all the DT a gorgeous mini kit, which is available to purchase at a bargain price here, it includes some lovely Bo Bunny Christmas papers and lots of other bits and pieces. The image i have used for both these cards is Snowflake Daisy, the sentiment is the one included in the Christmas Elves kit.

Yummy brownies!!!

Well my son thinks this is the best project i've ever made, not because he likes my box, but he loves brownies, and the fact i told him i was going to bake some this morning, so i could photograph them, made this his favorite creation of mine. My hubby thinks i'm just crazy, baking so i could stage a photo, but he won't complain when he's eating the brownies.

The label on this box is part of the FROM MY KITCHEN printable stamp set which contains 41 images!!!

And it's also on SPECIAL OFFER................

If you purchase this set from today through Saturday the 19th of September and receive the
APRON SHAPED CARD set for free.

The instuctions on how to make the box can be found here.
I also found this fab tutorial on how to make paper flowers, mine aren't quite perfect, as i struggled with the middle bits, but i'm quite happy with how they turned out for my first attempt. I don't have the punch that Maria used, so i used the flower on the Cricut New Arrival cart, cut at 2".
I dripped a little Glossy Accents on them to look like water droplets.

Close up of my flowers...........

Just to prove i really baked brownies........... my home smells all chocolatey now.

Christmas already?

I've never made Christmas cards so early before, but when i received these cute stamps from Tracy of Squiggle Stamps i just had to get them inked up, coloured in and popped onto a card straight away. On this card i have used the newly released Christmas Elves stamp kit. There are three individual stamps in the set plus the sentiment, but i did a bit of masking so they overlapped.
Don't forget to pop over to the Squiggle Stamps Blog before the 26th September and enter the candy prize draw, and if you place an order on the website, you'll get an extra entry too. I wish i could enter, as the prize is amazing!

Big Stuff

Now that school has started again, i can finally hide away in my craftroom and craft away without interruptions.
Regina from The Cutting Cafe' has been so busy and produced so many great printable stamp sets recently, and i have been itching to use some of them, so today i did. The sentiment on this card is part of the Big Stuff Sentiments...printable stamp set.
The cute little image is Daisy with flowers from Squiggle Stamps.

Passion for Promarkers week 16

This weeks PfP challenge colours are Sandstone and Blue Pearl.
Here's my take on the challenge. The image is one of the Fall 2009 Whiff of Joy stamps called Sitting Farmer Oakley, and he is sitting on the large mushroom. I added texture to the top of mushroom by dotting on it with the Promarker blender. For the branches i used my Leone Em Ash branch punch.
Here's the colours i used,

Passion for Promarkers week 15

This weeks PfP challenge is to use any colours, with the theme of girlie and glittery. So here's my creation on that theme. The image is C.C. Designs Sweet Kiki La Rue, digi download.
Here's the colours i used,
ETA, Caryn i haven't forgotten about the award you gave me, i'm still trying to think of 5 things.

It's Friday!

Wow this week has just flown by, our Son went back to school today, he was a bit apprehensive as it's his first day at high school (year 9). I must admit i had a lump in my throat as he walked into school, i can't believe my baby is so grown up. Our foster child starts his new school on Monday, he's really excited, so am i , lol, i can get back into my routine then.
Anyway, here's another little project i made for Squiggle Stamps. This cute little girl is Daisy with Balloon, and i stamped the Papertrey sentiment onto the balloon after i coloured it.ETA, The template for the box was another fab find in Poundland. It was in a set of 6 different shaped gift boxes, which were flat packed. I just traced around it and cut it out.

Red Hat Society

My Mum asked me to make her a card to give to her friend who is a member of the Red Hat Society, so this is what i came up with. The hat is cut on the Cricut from PDDU cart. My Mum liked it, I hope her friend liked it too.

Wednesday, 2 September 2009

Happy Anniversary

My Mum and Dad celebrate 42 years of marriage today.

For their card I've used the Bird on Flourish stamp from Squiggle Stamps. I stamped the image with Versa Mark, then used white embossing powder and heat embossed it, i love the effect of the white on kraft cardstock. The sentiment is by Papertrey and was stamped and embossed the same way.

More Squiggles

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, we've had a nice long one, as it's a bank holiday here today.

Here's another card using a Squiggles Stamps image. This cutey is Daisy with Flowers.
The papers and chipboard embellies all come from a kit i picked up in Poundland which contained 3 sheets of 12x12, loads of chipboard shapes (some of which are glittered), decorative strips and some epoxy stickers, all for the bargain price of £1!!!, obviously.

Squiggle stamps 2

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far, i'm looking forward to the long weekend and having Hubby home during the day until Tuesday. School starts again next week, i can't believe how quickly the summer has passed, before we know it it will be Christmas!!!

Anyhow, here's a card i've made using one of the cute little Monster Mash stamps from Squiggle Stamps. I adore this little guy, especially with the googly eyes i gave him.
The number 4 and BOY are both cut on the Cricut using Graphically Speaking cart.

1st Squiggle Stamps project

This is the first of the projects i've made with the gorgeous selection of rubber stamps that Tracy of Squiggle Stamps sent me last week. I had so much fun playing with these cuties.

This cute little girl is Daisy Sitting Pretty and isn't she just the sweetest?
Don't forget the blog launches on 1st September. So be sure to check it out then for more info on the new releases....yummy blog candy and to see some beautiful creations by the other super-talented DT members.

The image is Daisy (Sugar Nellie), i nabbed a couple of stamped images at my crop, from a new crafting friend Kim, thanks Kim.
As usual i have photographed all the colours i used.

Good news

I have just had the nod that i can now share a little bit of news with you, (i've been dying to spill the beans). I have been asked by Tracy to join the Squiggle Stamps design team. I'm so excited to be working along side some very talented crafters and can't wait for my first package of rubber to land on my door mat, so i can start to play.
Squiggle Stamps are a small UK based stamp company launched in Summer 2009, and carry a unique range of cute and whimsical stamps designed by a talented team of illustrators.

Make sure you add the Squiggle Stamps new blog to your blog list, i have insider infomation that there's is gonna be an official launch of the blog on September 1st, with maybe some yummy candy going to.

Spooky treats

This box is actually made using the Pencil Box Template from The Cutting Cafe', but i thought it would make a great Halloween Treat box too. I filled it with yummy Orange cables (then i ate them, so now i need to buy more).

The sentiment is from TCC' Halloween Labels set, which i am giving away tomorrow, just leave a comment on my Tuesday 18th August post before midnight GMT tonight to be in with a chance of winning it.

Special friend

Happy Saturday everyone.

My new Fall Stamp Set from Whiff of Joy arrived this week, and i was itching to get at least one of them inked up, coloured with my Promarkers and popped onto a card, so i settled for this one. Originally she is chasing leaves but i'm not ready for Autumn yet, so i made her chase Martha Stewart butterflies instead. I think they are tropical butterflies, as they the size of her hands. lol

The sentiment is from the HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SPECIAL FRIEND...HUGE CIRCLE PRINTABLE STAMP SET, i love these circle sentiments Regina designs and they can resized to the exact size you want . You can probably spot a circle shaped card thing going on with me lately too.

PFP challenge week 13

This weeks PfP challenge colours are Prussian & Pumpkin, with the added extra of a HALLOWEEN theme.

I found this really great site that sells digital stamps called Mo's Digital Pencil, Maurie is an amazing artist and has some wonderful images on her site.

I've had a go at making a recessed window card, i love trying different styles of cards and this one was great fun to make.

The sentiment is just one tiny part of the newly released set from The Cutting Cafe', called Halloween Labels..Printable Stamps.
If you would like to get this Cutting Cafe' set for free, just leave me a comment on this post between now and midnight GMT Sunday August 23rd and i will draw one lucky name using Random.org on Monday.Good luck! Entry now closed and winner announced.

Craftytemplates

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, i can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by, before we know it the children will be back to school and the summer will be over.
Anyhoo, here's a couple the cards i made using the Craftytemplates August card kit and this months templates.

Friday, 14 August 2009

Last one

This is the last card i need for August, (phew) and it's for my Dad. August is a birthday month on my Dads side of the family, my Grandad celebrates his on the 21st, my Nan on the 23rd and their son (my Dad) on the 24th, my niece has her birthday on the 17th , so it's quite and expensive month too.
The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe' Happy Birthday Dad...Huge Circle Printable Stamp set.

The card base and stars are all cut on the Cricut using Wild Card cart.

2009 Summer Minibook event

Over on UKScrappers there is a two week Summer minibook event going on. Each day for two weeks, Monday-Friday, there will be instructions on how to make different minibooks posted on the homepage. Today it's a fab minibook designed by the very talented Leo of Craftytemplates.

Leo sent her DT the instructions a few weeks ago, so we could make samples and heres mine.

If you pop over to the CT blog, there is a chance to win a special one off kit that Leo has put together to make you own little book.

Thursday, 13 August 2009

Back to school

This is my first ever hinged card and it was so much fun to make. I found the image for free on a colouring page site , which i coloured with my Promarkers. I thought that the sentiment from The Cutting Cafe' printable stamp set called School Days would be the perfect accompaniment. Regina has released so many great sets recently, i want to make something from all of them, but there's just not enough hours in the day, or should that be night?, as the children are on school holidays so there's not much crafting going on during the day.

Don't forget if haven't already done so , you can still get the I HAVE FAITH IN YOU set absolutey free until the end of August.

Wednesday, 12 August 2009

Passion for Promarkers week 12

This weeks PfP challenge colours are Rose Pink and Cocoa. I love this colour combo!

The cute image i used is called Sophie and is a digital stamp from Digistamp Boutique. You can't see too well on the photo, but i added a touch of Doodlebug sugar coating to her shoes and bottom of her dress.

Here's the colours i used.

Tuesday, 11 August 2009

For my Grandad

My lovely Grandad will be a 83 years young next week and he has always enjoyed gardening. So with the help of the Cricut Design Studio, i made him this gardening themed card, i hope he likes it.

If you'd like the cut file for this card it can be downloaded here.

Please leave a comment to let me know if you download this cut file, then i can visit your blog too.

The carts i used are, WIMG, Wild Card, Street Sign and My Community.

An apple a day give away

Keep and eye on The Cutting Cafe as there are some fabulous news sets soon to be released.
This cute Apple shaped card is one of the latest templates from The Cutting Cafe, and can be found here. I opened the base card template in Word and added the text directly to the inside. This was a really quick and easy card to make, which is good as i'm a little busy settling in a new foster child in, who arrived with us on Friday afternoon, and is currently playing on the Wii with our Son.
The sentiment is one of the All occasion circle word set 1 printable stamps.

I have been given the go ahead from Regina to give this Apple Shaped card template away to one lucky person. So to be in with a chance to win, just leave a comment on this post by midnight GMT Sunday 9th and i will draw the winner using Random.org on Monday 10th August, good luck and thanks for popping by.

Mini note card set

I made this set of mini note cards (they are just under 4" x 4"), and a file to keep them in with this months Sarahscards cardmaking kit. The butterflies are cut on my Cricut from Home Accents cart. To answer Sam and Julie, yes this butterfly is Utee'd, atleast three coats if i remember rightly.

First of three

With three birthday cards to make for family members birthdays next month, i thought i'd better make a start. So i started with the hardest one for me to make. This is for my Niece who will be 12 on the 17th. She's never been a girlie girl, but is starting to get a little bit more girlie as she's getting older, but she's still definitely not a pink and fluffy sort of girl, so i hope this will be acceptable to her.
I cut the skull and crossbones, (which spins from side to side), on my Cricut from Paper Dolls Dress up cart, and the name was cut from Storybook.

PFP challenge week 9

This weeks challenge colours are Rose Pink and Lime Green, i love these colours together, i've really missed taking part in the PfP challenges whilst i was away, did i mention i'd been away? lol
The I LOVE SUMMER word circle is one of the 99 cent specials over at The Cutting Cafe' and i thought it went perfectly with this CC Designs digi Sugarplums stamp.

Easing my way back.

I always find it hard to get back into crafting again after being away, so i'm easing my way back into it gently, and what better way than to use one of the gorgeous Social Butterfly printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe'. I opened this image in Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10 and coloured the butterflies in digitally, i then printed it twice and handcut all the leaves and the largest butterfly from one copy, curled them over my scissors then stuck them to the main image.

Regina is such a generous lady and for a limited time she is giving away a set of printable stamps called I HAVE FAITH IN YOU absolutley FREE! Click HERE to find out more.

I'm back!

Did you miss me?, no? i thought not. lol
Well if you did wonder where i was, I've been on a 2 week summer holiday in Turkey visiting my Brother and his family, who live there and we just got back today. I'm feeling very tired after a very early morning flight (3.20am), but thought i'd just pop on and explain why i haven't been blogging for a while.

I'll leave you with this card which i made before i left using the latest card kit from Sarahscards.
