Thank EWE

Happy Friday!!! I hope the weather is being kind to you all, it's a glorious day here today, i hope it continues for the weekend.

Today i made this card using one of the 4 new background printable stamps from The Cutting Cafe'. As soon as i opened the file Regina emailed me, i fell in love with this EWE. I re-sized the words and the ewe in MS Word, then added the words 'EWE' and' so much' , along with three more ewe's before printing it all out in one go. I then cut out decoupaged the ewe with 3D foam pads and flocked the top layers for texture.

More passion for Promarkers

I just couldn't resist making another card for the PfP challenge. I used another WOJ stamp, this one is called Willow in the summer breeze.
Click on this image to see the colours i used.

Challenge 1

Passion for Promarkers has gone live with their first challenge with some fantastic prizes from their sponsors. This week is anything goes, which means you can use any colours of Promarkers you wish. The DT have done some amazing cards, not sure mine is up to their standard, but i enjoyed making it, so that's all that matters.
I coloured this WOJ stamp (Dreamy Willow with flowers) using Ivory and Blush for the skin and Apple and Meadow Green for her dress, sorry i forgot to note the colours i used for her hair. The papers are from a free digital kit called Easy Breezy by Summer Driggs.

School holidays again!

I can't believe it's the school holidays again!, it only seems like the children were off school a couple of weeks ago and here we are half way through another week off. I'm not complaining because we don't have any foster children here right now and as my son is now 13 he sorts his own brunch (he's a teenager so he misses breakfast), so if i don't get up before 9am it really doesn't matter. We've been busy decorating this weekend, i've painted the family bathroom in Mellow Mocha, but i'm not sure i like the colour now it's on the wall, but hopefully it will grow on me.
Now for something crafty, here's one of the cards i made for Sarahcards, using the soon to be dispatched card kit.

Happy Father's Day

This is my second card using one of the Summer stamp designs from Whiff Of Joy. The tree stump he is sitting on is from the Spring set, but can now be purchased separately.

The sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe 'Huge Father's Day Circle printable stamp set'. I resized both the large circle and the small sentiment on his sign. I stamped the image twice, and cut out the sign. I then printed the small sentiment onto plain paper in the size to fit onto the sign, i then stuck the sign over where it printed with repro glue, then popped it back through the printer to print again. I then mounted the sign onto the original image with 3D foam pads.

Summer's here!!!

Well my new Whiff Of Joy Summer stamps kit is anyway. I received this stamp kit this morning, and almost immediately mounted them onto EZ mount, stamped and coloured my first image and made this card. I also used the Huge Thank you Circle from The Cutting Cafe'. The paper i used is a digital paper from Raspberry Road designs called Cherry Bliss, which just went with this image perfectly.

For my Sister

Firstly i just want to say thank you to everyone that has contacted me about my mishap over the weekend. I hope that by sharing my misfortune with you, it will point out it could happen to any of us, and hopefully save some of you going through the same experience in the future.

Anyway, i received the Spring set of Whiff of Joy stamps on Saturday, and as soon as saw this little guy i knew he was going to be used on my Sisters birthday card for this coming Thursday. My Sister has a gorgeous three year old Son, and this little chap looks so like him. My nephew (Bradley) has gorgeous red hair, and the brownest eyes, and a real sense of mischief, he certainly wouldn't be sitting on the cupcake, he would be wearing most of it around his mouth, and denying he'd even touched it, but i love him dearly. I'm not gonna say anything to my Sis, and see if she spots any resemblance.

NIGHTMARE!!!!

Yes, i had a nightmare Friday night, during a Microsoft update my laptop turned itself off and wouldn't turn on again, not even in safe mode. It resulted in having to use the recovery disc, which got it up and running again, but i lost EVERYTHING!!! All my digi stamps (including ones i'd paid for), all gone, all my Cutting Cafe files, gone, my Craftytemplates templates, and all my email and contacts addresses, all gone! Fortunately i had all my photos safely stored on my external hard drive, and all my Cricut cut files where stored in my BT digital vault. If nothing else this is a lesson learnt, i must save everything i want to keep in a safer place. It's taken me all day to get all my programmes loaded back on, i even had trouble with one of them.
I tell yer, i could just cry.

Hope you've all had a better weekend than me.

Hopefully i'll have something crafty to share soon.

Happy Bee Day

Here's another cute image by Dustin Pike, this is one of his Wednesday freebies!, i like free.

If you've ever studied a Bee close up, you'll know how they are all furry. So to replicate this the yellow on the Bee's body is flock, unfortunately i didn't have any black flock, but i still love the effect, as it's all touchy feely. I opened the image in my photo editing programme and added the text before i printed it out.

FTAO Diana (AUsome mom), i use Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10.

Bubbles

I adore this image by Dustin Pike, he is such a talented artist. This is a digital stamp, so you just download it and get instant gratification and the cost won't break the bank either. I also love the fact that you print out digi stamps any size you want.

For some reason my visitor count went back to zero today, i actually had around 50,000 visits, so it now looks like i've been talking to myself.
(ETA i've managed to make another counter and started it from 50,000.)
