Ahoy Matey! and DT calls.

Wow is it really Thursday already?
Today i have a circular easel card to share with you. I've used one of the newly released Lilliput images from Squiggle Stamps, he's called Pirate Boy, isn't he the cutest Pirate you ever saw? He's available here as digi, or here as rubber. If you want to see a really bad joke check out the Squiggles blog here.

The sentiment i have used and the swords are from an oldie but goodie set called Ahoy Matey Printable Stamp set from The Cutting Cafe'.

Both Squiggle Stamps and The Cutting Cafe' have a DT call on right now, so if your interested in joining either team, go check them out.

Sail boat

This seems like the only way to travel in and out of Europe at the moment. The volcanic ash cloud is still disrupting air traffic, which has effected thousands of travellers. My parents and grandparents were due to fly to Turkey on Saturday, but were unable to go.
Regina at The Cutting Cafe' has just released some fabulous printable stamp sets and templates, including this cute Sail boat shaped card template.

Happy Birthday Son

I have been trying to come up with a design for my Son's birthday card for weeks, and today i have finally managed to put something together, it wasn't easy making a card for a 14 year old boy, but i'm sure he will like it, because i made it.
I found the image from a Precious Moments colouring page website, and coloured it with my Promarkers. The huge circle sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe', Happy Birthday to my Son printable stamp set.

Enjoy life.......

Where did the weekend go? I hope all the Mum's who celebrated Mothers day yesterday had a wonderful day, as i did.  My  day was spent with my family, including my parents and paternal grandparents, who all came to my house for lunch, (which my hubby cooked), and with yesterday in mind, i thought this card really expressed how i felt.
For this card i have used two files from The Cutting Cafe', Butterfly shaped card template and Everyday greetings set 2.

I have also received two blog awards from my very lovely and talented blogging friend Nikki, i'm rubbish at passing these awards on as i'd want to award them to so many, so i am passing these on to everyone.
So if you haven't already received these awards, please accept them from me.
The rules to this one are to list 12 things about yourself.........
and this one i have received once before and the rules are to share 7 exciting things about yourself and pass the award on to 15 wonderful bloggers.

Passion for Promarkers challenge #42

This weeks PfP challenge chosen by guest designer Sarah W is to use the Promarker colours Mango and Bright Green.
I struggled at first to find papers in my stash that would go with this colour combo but got there in the end.
I made the flowers by punching out 7 x 1" scalloped circles for each flower, dampening them with a little water, scrunching them all up, then opening them up carefully, i gradually opened up the layers less and less as i got to the top layers.
The sentiment is part of the Easter set 2 form The Cutting Cafe'.

Don't forget to check out another great tutorial in this weeks PfP Weekend Workshop and leave a comment for a chance to win $15 to spend in the Fred She Said online store,

Don't forget you have until midnight 28th February to enter this months Squiggle Stamps prize challenge, there are only 8 entries as i type, so the odds of winning are great!!!

Easter basket

I thought last weeks half term would never come to an end , but thankfully it did, and the boys have gone back to school today and that means i get back into my craftroom with no interruptions.

Regina has released some fabulous stuff over at The Cutting Cafe' in the last week, and i just couldn't wait to cut this cute little Easter basket shaped card.  I cut it all on my Cricut Expression using the Make the Cut software.
The sentiment is from another Easter file called Easter set 2.

Digital stamp colouring

Another great thing about digital images are that not only can you have it instantly and re-size it, you can also colour it in on your PC or laptop using you photo editing programme before printing it out, as i have here.
I used Mircosoft Digital Image Pro 10 and by using the little magic wand tool, i was able to select and colour all the different areas of the image. This image is Chatty Girl digital download from Squiggle Stamps and the sentiment is from the All Occasion Circle Word set 3 printable stamp set, from The Cutting Cafe'.
