SWEET STUFF

I don't normally post twice in one day, but i just couldn't wait to share this card with you.

Regina has just released a new set of cutting files/templates in The Cutting Cafe', called SWEET STUFF SHAPED CARDS, and I just love this ice-cream shaped card. There are 5 different shapes to choose from and they can be purchased separately or you can get the whole set for a much reduced price.

The cards

Here as promised is the little set of cards i made to go inside the card bag on my previous post. They are all very simple, but perfect to be used as little notelets.
Thanks for dropping by and for all the lovely comments you leave, it means so much.

Sarahscards April

This is a little project i made using the gorgeous Sarahscards April cardmaking kit. ( i just added a little white cardstock).

I've seen these card bags on several SU blogs, but couldn't find any instructions, but thought they looked simple enough to put together. This cute little bag holds four 4"x4" cards and envelopes. I'll show the cards tomorrow.

Simple

This is a really simple card. I just love this Dustin Pike dragon image, and even better it was one of his freebies! The ticket is cut from Fabulous Finds cart, i only just found this cut today and i've had FF cart like forever. I really must start exploring all my Cricut carts more thoroughly.

Fabulous

When i receive emails from Regina with her latest Cutting Cafe' template or printable stamp set attached, i always know it's gonna be something special, and the latest one was no exception.
The word 'Fabulous' on this card is from the CHUNKY PRAISE PHRASES PRINTABLE STAMP SET.

I printed the phrase onto printable acetate (OHP film) and coloured the letters from behind with a paint pen. I covered the front of the card (which i cut an aperture in using my Nesties) with printed acetate (which i picked up in a cheapie shop, a pack of 10 sheets for a £1). This card was not the easiest to photograph, but it think you can get the idea.

I got this lovely Ladybug award from the very talented Diana, thanks Diana.
I really appreciate receiving blog awards, but always have trouble passing them on, as the first blogs i think of and visit already have the award, so instead of me searching for seven blogs to give this award to, i'm giving it to all of my visitors who leave me such lovely comments.

Lost mojo

Sorry i've been AWOL for a whole week but i've been working on design team stuff, then when i emailed my images off i think i sent my mojo along with them. Hopefully it's now coming back, as i've managed to make this card today. The sentiment is from the All About MOM Huge Printable Stamps Set from The Cutting Cafe'. Regina has even made a bunch of printables especially for us in the UK that use MUM rather than MOM.

Remember you can change the colour and size of the printable stamps and even just print one image at a time, just follow Regina's instructions on the tips page.

Stationery box

The template for this box is available to purchase from The Cutting Cafe', the set also includes a pattern for envelopes perfect for 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cards.
I used the box template with the circle cut out in the lid, and stuck a piece of acetate on the inside. I didn't have any orange gems, so i coloured some clear ones with peel off pens.

The instructions to make the ribbon flower can be found HERE.
(I first saw this mentioned on DeeDee's blog, thanks for the heads up DeeDee).

My friend Gwyneth sent me some stamped Magnolia images, and i have been saving them for a special project, and this is it.
I coloured the images with my Promarkers, and tried to match the colours to the papers i was going to use for this set. I really enjoyed making this little set of cards and i have decided to leave them sentiment free, so they could be used for little notelets.

Happy Graduation

Did you know you can change the colour of the printable stamps from The Cuttng Cafe'? There are instructions of how to do this at the bottom of this page. I don't have a programme to do it that way, but i have found a way to do it Microsoft Office Word 2007, just follow Reginas instuctions on how to copy the file and paste it into word, then when you click onto the image it should bring up 'pictue tools'. Click on 'format' and to the left you will see 'Recolor', click on that and choose one of the seven 'light variations'. Using this method i was able to print the images in a lovely shade of purple. I hope this makes sense.

For this card i used 2 of the new Background printable stamps and the Huge Graduation Circle. I coloured in the cute Precious Moments image with my Promarkers, (i found this image on a colouring book page website, but i can't find it now, sorry).

A couple more

Here's two more cards i made using the April kit (see previous post) and templates from Craftytemplates.

This months templates are 'Embellish Buddies', which can be resized and used to emellish your crafty projects, or you could make shaped cards with them.

Birthday weekend

Yesterday our Son was 13, how the heck did that happen?, it only seems like yesterday he was a baby, (he'll always be my baby though, he hates it when i say that. LOL). We went out to a Chinese restaurant last night with family and friends, and had a great time.

And today it's my Birthday, so 13 years ago i got the best pressie ever!!! Today i'm being spoilt, my hubby has just cooked us a full English brunch, and this evening he is making my favorite, Beef Wellington for dinner.

I've received some lovely hand made cards from my friends, so i'll be back to share those when i have photographed them.

I hope your weekend has been as lovely as mine.

I made this card using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. The image is a digital download from here, and the sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe' All Occasion Circle Word set 1.

There is a DT call over at The Cutting Cafe', check here for details.
