Here's a card i made using the Huge Circles Birthday set.

The image is a digital stamp from here, (thanks Ally for pointing this fab site out to me), and the papers i used are 3 Bugs in a Rug, Butterfly kisses.

Quick card

My Son is off to a disco tomorrow evening, it's to celebrate the 13th birthday of one of the girls in his class at school, actually they have been in the same class since they started school and their birthdays are 2 days apart, hers the 2nd, and his the 4th, so i just made a quick card for him to give to the Birthday girl. I can't believe i haven't used and pretty papers.

Bad blogger

Sorry if you've been dropping by and seeing that i've not posted anything new, but i've not done any crafting this week, i've sat at my work desk, shuffled a few pieces of paper around, i've even coloured in a couple of images, but nothing has been coming together.

So i'll show you a card i made for a special order. This was the card i made for a friend of a friend, to give her friend, who is a card maker and usually makes her cards for her, but she didn't think it would be right that she made her own card, so she asked me to make her one to give to her friend, got that? LOL. I think i lost myself there too.

Happy Mother's Day

It's Mothering Sunday here in the UK today, i hope all the Mums out there are being treated like queens, as they deserve to be, i certainly am, i've just had breakfast in bed and i choose my own pressie last weekend at the Range, as my Son and Hubby wouldn't have a clue when it comes to crafting items.

Here's the card i made for my Mum.

Bunny basket

Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' has designed a template for a really cute bunny shaped card, and i had every intention when i started playing, that i was going to make a card. But suddenly i thought this bunny would look just as good as some kind of Easter egg holder. So i cut the bottom off a plastic pint glass, and attached the card round it, then i filled it with chocolate eggs. I added a sentiment from the Easter sentiments set. I hope Regina doesn't mind that i changed the use of her file.

My friend asked me to make her a couple of birthday cards to give to her family. I made both using my Expression and design studio. I hope she likes them.

Blog hopping

As i was blog hopping yesterday, i came across a link to Mojo Monday, i have never visited there before, but i really liked the look of the sketch so decided to play along. The design team have made some stunning cards from it too.

I only looked at the sketch once then disappeared into my craftroom and made this card from what i remembered of the sketch.

Whilst on another hop, i popped onto Caryn's blog, she is celebrating having reached 100+ followers, and is giving away some amazing blog candy, pop over here and see. The draw isn't for another two weeks, so you still have time to be in with a chance of winning.

Easter part two.

Here's a few more Easter projects using various Easter printable stamps from The Cutting cafe'.

This cute little bunny eared girl is the new digital stamp, Easter Anya from The Greeting Farm. I think i may have gone over the top with the machine stitching on this one. lol

The bunny stamp i used on this one is by Daisy & Dandelion and is from the Candyfloss & Marshmallow set, and coloured with my Promarkers.

The lunch bag and grass are cut on my Expression from Plantin Schoolbook cart, and the Bunny is cut from Doodlecharms.

Smile

When i received this image to work with from Leo at Craftytemplates, i just couldn't stop smiling, you can probably see why. I just printed it out and coloured it in with my Promarkers. My Brother-in-law is a builder, so i knew i would have someone to send this card to. The cute little spanner is a brad and was included in the kit, as was everything else i used, except for a piece of gardening string.

Easter at the Cafe'.

Regina Easter, the owner of The Cutting Cafe' designs the most fabulous templates and printable stamps. I only received this set of Easter printable stamps in my email inbox this morning, but i couldn't wait to start playing with them and made these two very simple cards. I printed the sentiments onto Safmat by Letraset. This set is now available from The Cutting Cafe'.

The image on this one is by Sarah Kay and coloured with Promarkers.

It's another Boy.

One of my online friends, Sam from UKScrappers has just given birth to a gorgeous baby boy, his name is Harry, (short for Harrison). We all knew she was having a boy, which meant i could make her a card well in advance, but i couldn't show it on my blog as she is a reader. She should have received it in the mail by now, so i can now share it, it's a slightly different version of the one i showed on here the other week. I also made her 4 year Son a 'Big Brother' card, so he doesn't feel left out. I used Cricut Design Studio to make both.

It's Craftytemplates time

The March card kit is called ‘Working 9-5‘ and has been designed to work along with this months Crafty Templates subscription set which this month is all about different jobs and professions i.e, nurse school teacher, builder, beautician, hairstylist etc. The papers and cardstock have been picked out to work with the cards. The set includes a comprehensive selection of Bazzill cardstock colours and lush papers from BoBunny, Sassafras Lass, DCWV and October Afternoon. Here's one of the cards i made using the kit and the templates Leo sent me.

Enjoy your day

I've been busy behind the scenes, i moved everything out of my craftroom, and back again, but in a move organised fashion. I filled five large black sacks with rubbish and i still have lots of sorting to do.
I had a sewing machine for Christmas, (actually i got it in October), it hadn't even come out of the box yet, but i now have a home for it, yippee!!, so i had my first go at machine stitching onto a card, only a straight(ish) line , but as i get more used to it, i may even attempt to go round corners. :)

Anyway here's the card featuring my machine stitched line. I used this fabulous set from The Cutting Cafe', called SENTIMENTS STEMS AND FLOWER TOPS . I stamped the Happy and Birthday onto the leaves.

I've been tagged!

One of my fellow Cutting Cafe' design team members, and a very talented lady, Donna has tagged me, i needed to show you the 4th photo in one of my files and explain it. This is the 4th photo in my Turkey 2008 file, and it's my Son posing at the Temple of Apollo Side Turkey and was taken last summer. My Brother and his family moved out to Turkey to live, almost two years ago and this was the first time we'd visited them. We are off to stay with them again this summer too, i'm so excited!!

Now i'm gonna tag four more fellow bloggers to do the same, Kim, Gwyneth, Karen, and Caryn. Hope you don't mind playing along ladies.

Thanks

This morning my lovely postie delivered to me the Calligraphy Collection cart. I was so excited , i starting cutting from it within half an hour of opening it. I cut the word, the frame and flower from it but the bird is from the Home Decor cart. I also used my new Sizzix embossing folder, which came today also.

More from The Cutting Cafe'

I really don't know how Regina does it, she just keeps on churning out these fabulous printable stamps, i wonder if she ever sleeps. LOL

For this card I printed out the Huge Flower 2 printable stamp on four different coloured papers, cut and paper pieced them together. I changed the settings on my printer to print the image smaller, as the original image is 10" high, which i great if you wanted to use it on a scrapbooking page. The sentiment is from the newly released All Occasion Circle scallop word set 1 printable stamps. These have been sized ready to punch out with either a 1", 1.5" or 2" circle punch.

Today i received my Fiskars Apron Lace border punch i had ordered from the US last week, i was so excited to have this in little baby in my hands, i just had to get right on and use it.

Mini magazine file

I have seen these cute little magazine folders with cards in them everywhere, but the only templates i could find were for use with a A4 or 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card. I needed to make mine using a piece of 6" x 12" and wanted to keep it in one piece, so i tweaked the template i found and made this one. It holds five 4"x4" cards and envelopes and is made using the February cardmaking kit from Sarahscards.
